2、不要随意打开表后盖，以免尘埃进入机芯影响手表的正常工作。（开过盖的表易出现问题，诸如防水性下降等，所以能不开盖尽量不开）
3、不要将手表放在有樟脑丸的衣柜内，以免表油变质。（验证有困难）

5、长期存放不戴的手表，应每月定期上发条一次。
自动机芯的手表则应轻轻来回摆动几分钟或戴在手腕上一段时间使其自动上紧发条。使零件不致长期处于静止状态，以保证表机的运转性能。（此法可保持机芯内润滑剂的流动性）
6、普通机械手表受了潮，可用干棉花压在手表上，再用40瓦的电灯泡烘烤5分钟，表里的潮气就可全部被蒸发出来。
如果石英电子手表受了潮，可取若干小块氯化钙，用纱布包好;然后打开电子表盖，将包好的氯化钙和电子表一并放入一个不漏气的塑料袋或玻璃瓶内，密封。一般 3个小时左右即可除潮，使电子表恢复正常。对于受潮严重的表可适当延长吸潮时间。（未验证亦未有过受潮情况，待有幸碰上后再进行更新）
7、收到一只心爱的手表，拆掉外面包装时，千万要保存好防护手表所用的包装盒。
这些保护手表的包装盒，能在平常不配戴时给予手表最安全的保护，避免手表被摔坏或是被碰撞，所以将包装盒保留是绝对必要的，而且建议在平日不戴手表时，养成习惯放入盒内，就能大大减低手表损坏的机率。（正确，只是步骤上面感觉适应不来，适应了2天，后来基本放在桌上）

应多准备几款不同的手表交替使用，除了能丰富个人的造型，也可避免灰尘、体垢全集中在同一只手表上。对于皮表带，更要小心呵护，以免天天使用造成表带的经常性磨损拉扯，那么即使表面新新的，手表看起来也会十分老旧。（财力有限，身上只有一款经常上手的表，其它都是旧表）
9、把手表戴在手腕子上睡觉，如果手表是夜光表，就会给身体带来不利影响。
