TORONTO - A phone call from Canadian hip-hop star Drake helped sell England and Spurs striker Jermain Defoe on Toronto FC, according to Englands Daily Mirror. The tabloid reports Defoe was “bowled over” by the call from Drake, who was unveiled in September as the Toronto Raptors “global ambassador.” Toronto FC and the Raptors are both owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. The MLS club has yet to confirm Defoes signing in the January transfer window. But privately club officials consider it a done deal. The Mirror says the 31-year-old Defoe has been offered a deal worth 90,000 pounds a week (C$155,310) as well as unlimited flights for him and his family. The club will also provide the striker with two houses, according to the paper. . The Bobcats (2-2) trailed 35-23 early in the second quarter, but cut the lead to 42-40 at halftime. Charlotte outscored Cleveland 32-17 in the third quarter to go ahead 72-59 and pulled away. He played in two games, averaging six points and two rebounds in 16.TSNs Jack Armstrong offers his thoughts on the Spurs being back in the mix, the bench strength of the Raptors, the Pacers and Heat not being ready for prime time, the compete level of Kemba Walker and the Warriors coaching situation. 1. SAN ANTONIO SPURS: Have won 15 straight games and suddenly here they are again in the mix regarding the discussion of what teams can be in the Finals in June. Dont beat you ever with flash but man, oh man lots of substance when you talk about this team. Wednesday night against Denver, they had five players in double figures and had 30 assists on 43 field goals. Thats quite impressive. The commitment to the team and playing the game together is a principle that has served them well over the years and will make them a tough out in the playoffs. The sum is more important than the parts. 2. RAPTORS BENCH: Its pretty evident that in spite of the Raps being 6-5 in the absence of Patrick Patterson, they miss his presence big-time in a variety of ways. Hes a wonderful perimeter defender on screen and roll sequences, gets after it on the glass, defends in the post and can give you both scoring inside/out as well as intelligent team play on offence. He and Greivis Vasquez are the two major contributors off the bench and when you look at the Boston game Wednesday night with less than 10 points coming off the bench, its an area of concern to say the least as you prepare for the playoffs. Pattersons absence has clearly affected the defence as well with teams putting the Raptors in screen and roll scenarios and the nightly battles on the boards without one of your sturdier post guys. John Salmons has struggled of late and is a solid veteran player. When hes going good, this team has another gear. Getting Patterson back and healthy and an on-track Salmons will go a long way towards getting this team ready for the playoffs. Digging themselves early holes that they have to battle back from are an issue that has to be corrected along with tightening the screws again with the defence. They do that and Im confident that they can compete quite well in a first round series. 3. PACERS VS. HEAT: Watched the game Wednesday night and I must say I was underwhelmed with the quality of play. Yes, it had great playoff intensity but it appeared to me that both of these teams have needed a game like this for a while to get that next gear back in their playing style. Both looked like they need to work out some kinks in the final weeks with offensive flow/execution to be ready to roll in mid/late April. A long season combined with injuries, etc. have a way of messing up your chemistry and neither looked as fluid as when theyre at their best. The Raptors see both of them next week with the Houston Rockets sandwiched in between (what a week!) which will be a good test of their playoff readiness as the Heat have been able to knock off the Raptors this season three times while the Pacers are 2-1 and the Rockets won their game in Houston vs the Raps. The good teams start to takke that next step here in the final 10 games to get everything humming and in sync.dddddddddddd Always fun to watch as teams gear up for the second season. 4. KEMBA WALKER (Bobcats): Al Jefferson (35 and 15) was awesome in the overtime win vs. the Nets Wednesday night. Coach Steve Clifford has done a terrific job with that team. Its about time the folks in Charlotte get behind their team and support them for a change; this is a team you can root for. Love Kemba – what a gamer, scoring 20 points and five rebounds along with 12 assists. There are certain guys that you just throw out the stats some night because they just play so hard and have amazing pride and competitive spirit and do whatever it takes to win. From his days at UConn to now, he personifies what it means to give it his all. Hes been in a tough situation there with a poor roster, shaky coaching and questionable management decisions and Im happy for him that some of the proper decisions have been made around him and things are coming together. This team has become fun to watch and Walker is the heart and soul of that. 5. BRIAN SCALABRINE (Warriors): Assistant coach gets demoted to the D-League by head coach Mark Jackson. This is right out of the book of Jason Kidd/Lawrence Frank differences that took place early in the season. Jackson was adamantly supportive of Kidds move in the fall with Frank and now he does the same thing. Ive been both an sssistant coach and a head coach and I always felt that loyalty to the boss was #1 and if you disagree, you do it behind closed doors and it never gets picked up by the players, media, etc. At the same time, its vital that the assistant coaches cant be Yes Men that have to supress their opinion as opposed to express their opinion. Healthy dialogue is important yet at the end of the day, the head coach makes the call and we all march together in unison. (Hes also got to be open to suggestions and not have all the answers.) Jason Kidd got past this controversy and has done a good job with the Nets and it will be significant for Jackson to get past this as well by the performance of the team. Expectations are high in the Bay Area and results will be needed. Never an easy situation for any coach to be in and I can relate to the feeling of both. Jackson has a healthy ego and high opinion of his coaching acumen which is good to a degree, yet its time to get this team to the next level and the playoffs will be a major stage for him and his team to show that they can do it. Hes got major potential to be an outstanding coach in this league for a long time and this is another of the many tests young coaches go through in their development. Youre paid to make the tough calls and many times you have to be ruthless in this results-oriented business because at the end of the day, it all falls back on you and your record. Jackson is nobodys fool and is as competitive as they come. Its his show – plain and simple. Never easy or fair. In one word, you have to produce. TSN Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie, Pierre LeBrun and Darren Dreger have the latest on whats brewing ahead of the Sochi Olympics and beyond to the Mar. 5 trade deadline, including an important date in Ryan OReillys future with the Colorado Avalanche. The Sochi Olympics will occupy most of our attention for the next month or so, but 10 days after the gold medal is handed out, its TradeCentre. Give me some names that might move. Bob McKenzie: Two names that you might hear out there are a couple of veterans from the Dallas Stars and maybe those players are actually hoping to hear their names in trade rumours: Were talking about veteran forward Ray Whitney and defenceman Sergei Gonchar. Neither of these two players, you could say, are thriving under Lindy Ruff in Dallas right now. Its not a great situation for either one of them. Now, if the Stars decide to move them, Whitney would be a pure rental and would be a lot easier to move, since somebody could pick him up for just the balance of the season. Gonchar has two more years left at $5 million per year on one of those over-35 contracts. That will be a tough one to move. Pierre LeBrun: One of those contenders looking to add before the trade deadline will be the Anaheim Ducks although youd wonder what a team thats won 18 of 19 could possibly need. Were told that they are targeting a right-handed defenceman. That would be the top of their wish-list and one name that I know will have some intrigue is Dan Girardi of the New York Rangers. However, at this point the Rangers are telling teams that theyre not moving him, are focused on signing him and are confident at this point that those negotiations will possibly lead to a new deal. Ryan Callahan is another unrestricted free agent for the Rangers. That negotiation is perhaps not as far down the road, and I dont know if the Rangers can get both done, but Girardi seems more likely. “California Dreamin” goes beyond the Ducks. What would the L.A. Kings like to add? Darren Dreger: Theyd like to add some scoring and a bit more skill but the sense is around the Kings that theyre going to have to wait, let the money go down a little bit more. So, were talking about a deal that probably doesnt happen much before the Mar. 5 trade deadline. Theyre looking at rental players like Mike Cammalleri, Thomas Vanek perhaps Tomas Fleischmann or even Matt Moulson. Thats the type of player the Kings feel would give them a bit of a push going into the playoffs. Five days before TradeCentre – right at the end of February – is a very important day for Ryan OReilly and the Colorado Avalanche. Explain. McKenzie: It will mark a year since he signed his free agent offer sheet that the Calgary Flames tendered and was obviously matched by the Avalanche. That is when the Avalanche – if they so desire – have the availability to move him in a trade. Theyve been restricted and havent been able to do that up until now. Im not saying they will, Im saying that that is the time lapse that if they wanted to trade OReilly. Keep in mind that they have to qualify OReilly when the season ends at $6.5 million. LeBrun: So many teams are keeping an eye on what the Avs are going to do with OReilly. If hes made available, to me hes a number one player on the trade market. So many teams could use him and one of those teams that covet him – I believe – are the Vancouver Canucks. I would put him at the top of their list, he fits all their needs in terms of finding another centre and they have an abundance of defencemen, which is something Colorado would want to have back in a trade, if they were to put OReilly on the market. If some student were to do a study on which team is talked about most with trade rumblings on Insider Trading it would probably be the Carolina Hurricanes. Whats the latest there? Dreger: Tuomo Ruutu is very much in play. It seems like he has been for the entire season and last year, too. Jim Rutherford met with Ruutu this week and told him hes going to start pushing that trade now. Ruutu has a no-trade clause but he said hed do his best to work with Carolina. McKenzie: Rutherford sent a league-wide email saying Ruutu is available, as well as Jiri Tlusty, Riley Nash, Drayson Bowman and Brett Bellemore. The Canucks did the same thing with Dale Weise and the Tampa Bay Lightning did the same thing with Keith Aulie and Tom Pyatt. LeBrun: One goalie that is available is Michal Neuvirth in Washington. We know his agent spoke publicly about hoping he would get a new home. The Florida Panthers are a team keeping an eye on it. That may be more of a move for the off-season, but they have some interest. Steven Stamkos has three more weeks to be ready for Sochi. He participated in the morning skate with his team for the first time Thursday. What does this mean as far as his timetable for a return? Dreger: Its a great sign because up until this point hes been skating on his own and those that have been following Stamkos thought that that was a good sign. Now, be mindful of the fact that this wasnt a full practice but Stamkos did skate with his team wearing a red jersey and clearly not participating in any sort of battle drills. He was not going full-steam but, as I said, those who were watching this – and that includes Team Canada – are very optimistic with Stamkos rejoining his club and participating in that type of practice environment. They are not optimistic enough, though, to guarantee that he will be in the line-up prior to the Olympic break. Most believe that he should be ready by a game or two before the Olympics, so were talking Feb. 4, 6 or 8. But that is not a guarantee. After losing the first two games of this set in Arlington the Tigers showed some signs of life on Tuesday, as Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez and Jhonny Peralta all homered and Austin Jackson went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI for the AL Central champs in a 5-2 win. Catch the game, live from US Airways Center, on TSN2 beginning at 9pm et/6pm pt. Torontos 27-point collapse in Tuesdays 112-103 loss to Golden State was the largest comeback by an opponent in the Raptors 19-year existence. After allowing the Warriors to shoot 68 per cent and being outscored by 27 during the final 12 minutes, the Raptors aim to replicate their dominance through the first three quarters rather than the nightmare that occurred in the fourth. While the Raptors have dropped four straight – allowing opponents to shoot 50 per cent and giving up 104.0 points during that stretch – the Suns continue to defy the odds, winning five of their last eight games. Expected by many to be one of the worst teams in the league this season, Phoenix has started off strong, thanks in large part to their dynamic backcourt and improved offence. The Suns have been the leagues most improved offensive team over last season according to NBA.com/stats, scoring six points more per 100 possessions. Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe – who was acquired in an offseason trade with the Clippers – are both averaging career highs in scoring and have combined to contribute 36.7 points, 12.6 assists and 6.5 rebounds per contest, both shooting over 48 per cent from the field. “Theyre a little bit like the Phoenix teams of old as far as their running games concerned,” Dwane Casey said following shootaround Friday afternoon. “Dragic does a great impersonation of [Steve] Nash. Hes playing very well right now, handling the basketball, hes the head of the snake so our work is cut out for us on the defensive end.” Torontos guards, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, accounted for 46 points in Tuesdays loss. DeRozan has led the team in scoring in six of the last eight games, pouring in 17 or more points in a career-high 11 straight contests. Meanwhile, Lowry has paced the club in assists in nine straight games, recording at least six dimes in each, also a career-best. Having swept the season series with Phoenix last year, the Raptors are looking to win four consecutive games against the Suns for the first time in their history. Trends and Tidbits The Raptors are 4-2 in games following a 20-point comeback by an opponent. Toronto has been outscored in the paint in each contest during its four-game skid and by 58 points overall (188-130). The team is averaging just 17.3 assists, committing 17.5 turnovers and is allowing opponents to shoot 40 per cent from three-point range over that stretch. What to Watch For Slowing down the Suns With Bledsoe and Dragic running the show, the Suns have been the leagues most lethal team in transition, scoring 20.0 fast-break points per game. Phoenix has tallied 20 or more fast-break points in 11 of 19 contests this season so keeeping this young and athletic Suns team in the half-court will be a key to Torontos success.ddddddddddddIt should also be one of the Raptors biggest challenges. Defending the three-point line Although the Raptors contained Golden States sharpshooters through the first three quarters, holding the Warriors to 4-of-12 shooting from long distance, they got burned by the three-ball down the stretch. The Warriors went 8-for-11 in the fourth quarter with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson connecting on six of their seven attempts. Like the Warriors, the Suns are not shy from beyond on the arc. Phoenix attempts the fourth-most threes in the league on a per game basis and has drained seven or more treys in 11 straight contests. Who to Watch For DeMar DeRozan Even in embarrassing defeat on Tuesday, DeRozan has been the best and most consistent Raptor this year. Sitting 12th in the NBA in scoring at 21.8 points per game, DeRozan has been especially productive over the last eight contests when hes averaged 26.4 points on 50 per cent shooting from the field and 46 per cent from three-point range. DeRozan needs 18 points to reach 5,000 for his career, becoming the sixth player in franchise history to achieve that milestone, joining Chris Bosh, Vince Carter, Andrea Bargnani, Morris Peterson and Jose Calderon. His biggest challenge Friday will come on the defensive end where he will be assigned to one of Phoenixs point guards, Bledsoe or Dragic. “It gives us a different look but we have to adapt, we have to adjust,” said Casey, who spoke about trying to exploit the Suns small lineup. “We want to try to make sure we make them pay on the offensive end with our size and our inside game.” Eric Bledsoe After missing six games with a shin injury, then coming off the bench for two, Bledsoe has returned to the Suns starting lineup. With the increased playing time – 34 minutes per game, up from 20 with the Clippers last season – Bledsoe is averaging career highs in points (18.8), assists (5.9) rebounds (4.2) and steals (1.6). The Suns guard has already scored 20 or more points six times this year after doing so on four occasions in his first three NBA seasons. “Theyve made it work because Bledsoe is a tough little guy down in the post,” Casey said of the Suns small backcourt. “A lot of teams have tried to post him and well probably try to do some of the same but he does a good job even though hes small. Hes strong, hes like a little fireplug. So weve got to do a good job of getting deep post position on him and try to make them pay for playing small.” Injury Report Kyle Lowry was hit in the head late in the third quarter Tuesday but returned in the fourth. He was tested for a concussion on the bench before re-entering then again after the game, passing both. He practiced in full Thursday without experiencing any grogginess, per Casey, and will be active for Toronto in Phoenix. Small Profit is still ProfitI understand that players on Ultimate team want to make shed loads of money, in a relatively small space of time. It is unlikely that you will find a player worth 80000 for 10000. Actually, it is near impossible. So instead of busting a gut trying to find that one gem of a player, consider turning lots of small profits. If you can pick up players who sell on for even 500 1000 profit, you will quickly notice your virtual wallet bulging.

I have how to buy fifa 16 coins my sincere doubts that Konami will take advantage of the opportunity, since in doing so they would have to stop chasing the Holy Grail developers have pursued for roughly two decades: making virtual football largely indistinguishable from the real thing. And given the retail sales alone, it seems realism is by far and away the people’s choice.

MELBOURNE, Australia — Venus Williams was moving freely in her first-round match at the Australian Open, breezing through the first set and getting a look at another break in the second against a player who upset her sister here two years ago. Thats when things started to go wrong for her Monday, the first day of the season-opening major. The seven-time Grand Slam champion missed the break-point chance in the sixth game and then, after getting to 40-30 on serve in the ninth, inexplicably firing three consecutive double-faults to surrender a break and just about the set to No. 22-seeded Ekaterina Makarova. After a quick break and a change of her self-designed zebra print dress, she took a 3-0 lead in the third before her unforced error toll climbed to 56 and Makarova won six of the next seven games for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win. The 33-year-old Williams, the second-oldest player in the tournament, has struggled with injuries and illness in recent seasons but reached the final of the WTA event at Auckland to start 2014 and came to Melbourne saying she was feeling better than she had in years. “The last 12 months I have had issues,” she said. “But this year I definitely am looking forward to having a good run and feeling well.” That didnt happen Monday. “My level was a little bit too up and down. Obviously my error count was a little high,” said Williams, the 2003 finalist who was playing in her 14th Australian Open. “I have to give her a lot of credit, though, she was very determined … played hard.” Makarova said because it was the first match of the tournament, it was probably more difficult to beat Venus than it was to upset Serena Williams in the fourth round here in 2012. Shell meet another American in the second round after qualifier Irina Falconi beat Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain 6-3, 6-1. Two highly-ranked Italians lost in the first round, with 2012 French Open finalist Sara Errani, seeded 7th, beaten 6-3, 6-2 by Julia Gorges of Germany and No. 12 Roberta Vinci losing 6-4, 6-3 to Zheng Jie of China. Montreal native Eugenie Bouchard, who is seeded 30th, reached the second round with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Chen Tang Hao of China. Bouchard led the opening set 3-1, only to fall behind 5-3. Bouchard saved set points in the ensuing game on Tang errors before finally earning a 7-5 win on a break. The 19-year-old Bouchard was more in control in the second set and dominated to win the set 6-1. Vasek Pospisil, a 23-year-old Vancouver resident who grew up in Vernon, B.C., also won his opening match early Monday. The 28th seed, playing in a grand slam for the first time, defeated unseeded Sam Groth of Australia 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. Two-time finalist Li Na beat Ana Konjuh of Croatia — the youngest player in the tournament - 6-2, 6-0 in 61 minutes to set up a meeting with another 16-year-old in the next round after Belinda Bencic of Switzerland accounted for 43-year-old Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm in three sets. Date-Krumm was 27 years older than Bencic, the reigning French Open and Wimbledon junior champion. The 2011 French Open champion is in the same half of the draw as No. 1-ranked Serena Williams, who was scheduled to play a night match against Australian teenager Ashleigh Barty. Wimbledon semifinalist Kirsten Flipkens was the first woman into the second round when she beat Britains Laura Robson 6-3, 6-0. No. 9 Angelique Kerber, 2011 U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur, No. 14 Ana Ivanovic, No. 26 Lucie Safarova, No. 28 Flavia Pennetta, No. 30 Eugenie Bouchard of Canada and No. 31 Daniela Hantuchova also went through. American Madison Keys wasted five match points in the second set and another in the third before finally beating Patricia Mayr-Achleitner of Austria 6-2, 6-7 (8), 9-7. Eighth-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka, who won the recent Chennai Open in India, was the first man into the next round, advancing after just 15 games when Andrey Golubev retired with an injured left leg. Wawrinka, who lost 12-10 in the fifth set to eventual champion Novak Djokovic in the fourth round here last year in the longest Grand Slam match of 2013, was leading 6-4, 6-1 when his Kazakhstan rival quit. Two other players retired due to shoulder injuries, with Alex Bogomolov Jr., quitting after losing two sets to No. 15 Fabio Fognini and No. 12-seeded Tommy Haas pulling out when he was down a set and a break against Guilllermo Garcia-Lopez. Third-ranked David Ferrer opened with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 win over Colombias Alejandro Gonzalez on Rod Laver Arena and No. 7 Tomas Berdych beat Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Ukraine 6-3, 6-4, 6-3. Other men advancing included No. 9 Richard Gasquet, No. 14 Mikhail Youzhny, No. 19 Kevin Anderson, No. 23 Ernests Gulbis, No. 29 Jeremy Chardy, No. 32 Ivan Dodig, who beat fellow Croatian Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (8), 6-3, 7-6 (4), and American Sam Querrey, who defeated Santiago Giraldo of Colombia, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (3). PETERSBURG, Russia — Zenit had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday after the Russian sides striker Hulk missed a penalty against his former club. Lucho Gonzalez gave Porto the lead by heading in Danilos perfect cross from the right after 23 minutes. Zenit equalized five minutes later when Hulk took advantage of a mix-up in the Portuguese defence. The former Porto forward pounced on Roman Shirokovs pass to stroll past defender Alex Sandro and goalkeeper Helton before prodding the ball into an empty net. Though Porto side dominated the first half, Zenit improved after the break and Hulk missed his chance to score a second when Helton saved the Brazilians low penalty in the 52nd minute following a handball by Nicolas Otamendi. The draw kept Zenit second in Group G, behind Atletico Madrid but a point ahead of Porto. “Porto played better in the first half but in the second half, we dominated and should have scored to win the match,” Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti said. “Nothing is yet decided in our group. If we play the remaining matches the way we played in the second half, we can beat any opponent and advance to the next round.” Porto enjoyed all the possession from kickoff, with defender Danilo testing keeper Yuri Lodygin in the seventh minute. Jackson Martinez sent an effort wide 10 minutes later — after Aksel Witsel had fired high the home sides first chance in the game. Hulk then had his first shot on goal as the home side struggled to find its game and relied on counter attacks. Danilo broke down the right flank to set up the visitors deserved lead, with Gonzalezs downward header giving the keeper no chance. Spalletti was forced to make an early substitution by sending on striker Alexander Kerzhakov for the injured Danny.dddddddddddd Kerzhakov duly started the attack that led to the equalizer, with Hulk racing through while Portos defence dithered over which of them should clear Shirokovs pass. However, Zenit turned the game its way in the second half, playing more aggressively and constantly threatening the Porto defence. Oleg Shatov missed the target in the 50th before Hulk failed to beat Helton from the penalty spot, while Lodygin blocked Eliaquim Mangalas header at the other end in the 59th minute. Former Arsenal midfielder Andrei Arshavin came on for Shirokov in the 67th and helped to lead Zenits attacks. Helton dived to save Arshavins low shot the 73rd. “I really liked the way I ran today,” Arshavin said. “We really played badly in the first half and failed to find our game. If Hulk had scored the penalty, we could have definitely won. Porto looked more tired in the second half while we found our game.” Hulk had one last chance to score the winner but his curling free kick from 26 metres was easily blocked by Helton three minutes into stoppage time. Zenit will next host Atletico Madrid on Nov. 26, while Porto will be at home to face Austria Vienna. Qualifying for the knockout stages is clearly possible for Porto, but is more difficult now for the 2004 Champions League winners. “We could have won and there were chances to do that, especially in the first half,” Porto coach Paulo Fonseca said. "In the second, Zenit improved and showed what theyre capable of. “Zenit have one more point and they have the advantage. Now we have to win two matches and wait for our rivals to slip up.” Atletico was playing Austria Vienna later on Wednesday. ST. JOHNS, N.L. — The sound of the final buzzer going off on Saturday night was music to St. Johns IceCaps goalie Michael Hutchinsons ears. Hutchinson earned a 42-save shutout to lead his team over the Binghamton Senators 1-0 in American Hockey League action. “I was pretty excited when the final buzzer went,” Hutchinson said. "I didnt even realize when it first went off, I was getting ready for the guy who was about to take a shot. “After that, everything hits you and you start reflecting and enjoying it once you get in the locker room.” IceCaps head coach Keith McCambridge said the star of the game tonight was an expected one. “I thought our best player was obviously who everybody knows it was, its Hutchinson,” McCambridge said. “It was all him. He bailed us out numerous times, and credit the guys who were blocking shots.” The IceCaps were aware what they were up against playing the Senators, who lead the league in goals scored this year. “They are the number one ranked team offensively in the league, and they showed that tonight,” McCambridge said. “We turned over too many pucks, to give them opportunities.” Hutchinson says playing against a team with the offensive production of the Senators is a welcome challenge. “Its always really fun to play when we play against a team with as much offensive power as Binghamton has,” Hutchinson said. “You know youre going to face shots and youre going to be relied on.” Eric ODell scored for the IceCaps (34-19-4). Andrew Hammond made 24 saves for the Senators (33-19-4). St. Johns opened the scoring 11:41 into the game, as Kael Mouillierat found ODell headed to the net. ODell finished off a low one-time wrist shot. St. Johns was outshot 17-8 through the first period but held on to the lead due to strong play from Hutchinson. Halfway through the second period, Hutchinson made the save of the night, sprawling with his left pad to shut down Corey Cowick on a cross-crease opportunity to preserve the lead. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — LeGarrette Blount made one last big splash into a soggy end zone. The powerful back finished his 35-yard touchdown run up the left sideline by flopping with outstretched arms and capping the New England Patriots 34-20 win over the Buffalo Bills in a steady downpour Sunday. The victory gave the Patriots a first-round bye and the Gillette Stadium field an extra week to dry out. “He carried the team on his back most of the day,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. The rain “got worse as the game went along. It was definitely a running game.” Blount rushed for a career-high 189 yards, returned two kickoffs for 145 and set a club record with 334 all-purpose yards. The Patriots (12-4) obtained Blount in an off-season trade with Tampa Bay and he shared playing time with other backs since then. On Sunday, the 250-pounder led the charge. He also scored on a 36-yard run and set up a touchdown and field goal with kickoff returns of 83 and 62 yards. The extra point after his 35-yarder put the Patriots ahead 34-20 with 2:31 left. “Every time I play I try my best to come out with the mindset to make a contribution to any part of the game, whether its kick returns or running the ball or catching it,” Blount said. After his second touchdown, he hugged Belichick, who had a towel draped over his shoulders. Tom Brady was content to hand the ball off rather than throw through rain drops against a team leading the NFL in sacks and second in interceptions. “The water on the field at the end, it was just puddles,” he said. Stephen Gostkowski kicked four field goals as the Patriots earned their eighth bye in Belichicks 14 seasons. The Bills (6-10) missed the playoffs for the 14th straight year, the leagues longest current streak. They won their previous two games. “It would be much different if we were ending on a three-game winning streak,” Bills coach Doug Marrone said. “To say that youre close or anything like that, until you win we dont have a leg to stand on.” New England won its 13th straight home game against Buffalo, including 12-0 since Gillette opened in 2002. The Patriots have the second seed and play in two weeks at home, where theyre 8-0. Denver, which beat Oakland, has the top seed. New England began its game with a chance to finish in any of the AFCs top four playoff spots. “We put together a great season, but it doesnt matter much now,” Brady said. The Bills played without quarterback EJ Manuel, who has a small tear in a left knee ligament, and wide receiver Stevie Johnson, excused for the second straight game after his mothers death. Backup Thad Lewis threw a 12-yard scoring pass to T.J. Graham late in the third quarter and led an 80-yard drive capped by Fred Jacksons 5-yard run with 10:20 remaining. After each of those touchdowns Blount had his long kickoff returns. His 83-yarder set up Bradys 5-yard scoring pass to Shane Vereen, followed by a 2-point conversion pass that made it 24-10. The 62-yarder led to Gostkowskis fourth field goal, a 35-yarder that put the Patriots ahead 27-17. The Bills turned over the ball on downs on their next possession. “Of course the ball is wet,” Buffalo wide receiver Robert Woods said, “but we still have to make plays and catch the ball.” Before the Patriots ran the next play, “Singin in the Rain” blared over the public address system, and drenched fans sang along. Then Manny Lawson intercepted Bradys pass and the Bills capitalized with Dan Carpenters 37-yard field goal. Buffalo tried an onside kick, but Nate Ebner recovered for New England. Blount then ran 10 yards before scoring his second touchdown on the next play. The game even featured a punt by Brady on third-and-32 from his 46-yard line midway through the third quarter with the score 16-3. It travelled 32 yards, where Jim Leonhard made a fair catch. “It could have been a lot better,” Brady said. Brady finished 14 of 24 for 122 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Lewis went 16 for 29 for 247 yards and a touchdown. C.J. Spiller led the Bills with 105 yards rushing. NOTES: Bills tackle Marcell Dareus was benched for the first half for violating a team rule. In Buffalos previous game he was benched for the first quarter, also for violating a team rule. … The previous Patriots record for all-purpose yards was 273 by Larry Garron in 1962 at Buffalo. … Carpenters 51-yard field goal that tied the game at 3 made him the first player in Bills history with four field goals of at least 50 yards or more in a season. Abreu hit his 20th homer and Adam Dunn added a three-run shot as Chicago beat San Francisco 7-6 on Wednesday, handing the Giants their fifth straight loss.I have been a very proud parent this week. As someone who grew up idolizing many sports I was absolutely thrilled when my daughter came home from school and told me her class spent part of their lunch watching the Winter Olympics in the library. “Look daddy there is that girl skier I watched today,” she said pointing at our television. The skier in question hadnt won gold but shed won a spot on national television and, while enjoying her moment in the spotlight, had a huge smile for the camera. An enormous smile for a finish outside the medals. This lady had captured my daughters attention. Her happiness, so it turned out, had been infectious. I had noticed the smile immediately. I had spent my day watching hours of Premier League football and on a day where few goals were scored, even fewer smiles showed up. In fact, aside from celebrating the rare goals, none of the players smiled at all. It made me wonder; isnt anyone having any fun anymore? This had come to my attention watching Manchester Uniteds recent draw with Fulham at Old Trafford. United conceded early, spent much of the next hour camped in their opponents half, scored a goal with 12 minutes left, didnt celebrate, rushed back to restart, then scored a goal again which finally allowed everyone to smile. And laugh. And, in the case of manager David Moyes, act like theyd won the Champions League. It had all seemed a bit forced and then the smiles were well and truly wiped off their faces when Darren Bent netted a dramatic 94th minute equalizer. A few Fulham players smiled at the final whistle, others hugged each other and clapped their fans as they headed down the tunnel, no doubt turning their attention to their next match coming four days later. Welcome to Premier League football in 2014. Every team is either racing after something or trying to run away from something and while they are doing it, very few are stopping to smell the roses on the way. For some, having a plethora of teams challenge for the title, European spots, and against relegation, is seen as parity and a wonderful way for the league to have many important matches. The problem, however, are the intense demands that come with chasing 1st, 4th or 17th, for example, and they are undoubtedly weighing the players down. We are not supposed to feel sorry for a professional footballer. They earn tremendous amounts of money and for that they are supposed to be looked upon differently. However, whilst watching hours of Premier League football this month, I keep coming back to my original question – Is anyone having fun anymore? Professional sports have never been as professional. No stone is unturned and athletes are given the best of everything, but is this making them better and, just as important, are they enjoying themselves? Premier League footballers have their every move looked at, both on and off the playing field. How they train, eat, sleep, socialize, cross, pass, shoot, run, you name it, the club is looking at it. We are told it is to ensure every player is getting what they need so their employers can get the best out of them but you only have to watch Manchester United this season to know that they are not getting the best out of their players. We live in a world where every player in a game we have just watched can be analyzed in many different ways. By this rule, we can debate the merits of Tom Cleverley in midfield, the decision to play Juan Mata wide or Ashley Young at all, for example. Trained eyes can tell you how well they played. Stats available on your smart phone can tell you where they passed the ball and to whom seconds after it happens. Some statistics, if used correctly, can tell a story of how a player performed. Yet, the one thing no one will ever find a way to solve is the inability to know what is happening inside a players mind. Manchester United players this season look like the shirt is very heavy on them. They look like a team featuring players who have some serious doubts in their minds. These doubts could be anything from concerns about their form, whether their manager is good enough, or if their wife and kids are happy. Some of their teammates will not even know the real issues in their mind so the media and fans have no chance at knowing.dddddddddddd And there is a very good chance that we will never know most of the issues. “The time to speak about many things will come,” said striker Javier Hernandez on his Instagram account this week. It is a cryptic message and time will tell what he reveals, but if and when he does so, he will be in the minority. The Premier League right now is full of players going through mental battles. Yes, they have tremendous talent with a football and show you a strong side of them when they are on the field but what of the other times? A lot of things can happen in 6,410 hours – the amount of time between the start and end of a Premier League season. Only 57 of these are spent playing 38 games of Premier League football, less than nine per cent of the time. Yet, it is this time that many of us use when analyzing these individuals. It is, of course, the time we get to know them as we welcome them inside our living rooms, but for over 91 per cent of the time, these individuals are left to be as vulnerable as you or I and wed be foolish to not think what happens during this time doesnt have a substantial impact on what they do when playing. They are over analyzed and monitored by their clubs who hire men, who usually lose their job within two years, to get the best out of them as soon as possible. The pressure from that manager leaks to the players and leaves many to do things they wouldnt normally do. This is an example of insecurities being created by the sports culture. Clubs demand success, managers demand players to play at a high level and players are told they must deliver when the pressure is on. They are bombarded with information about their style and how they can be better but some are drowning in modern day over-professionalism and are losing their love for the sport. Last November I watched closely a battle between England and Australia in cricket and was left puzzled by the poor performances of a particularly England player who consistently seemed to play poorly. That player, Jonathan Trott, would go on to leave the tour and return home with a stress related illness. He was one of the minority who got help and, because he walked away from the series, allowed the public to see what demons he was battling in his personal life. Trotts case is the extreme and it would be wrong to assume many professional footballers have gone through something similar but it would naive to deny it completely. When we study the less than nine per cent of visual evidence we have on these players it is clear that many are not enjoying themselves enough. Manchester United have no chance at winning the league but instead of the club adopting a we are in a transition phase where we are experimenting to evaluate what we need to know to get better approach, the club is starting every match like it needs to win it and the enormous pressure placed on its players means they are not expressing themselves. How much better would they be if they were told to just forget the league table and have fun? Southampton have no such demands and have shown this season what a club can do when they are free to express themselves. Sure, they too could smile more but if a league table existed for content and happiness they would be at the top. Anyone who doesnt think this leads to success should talk to the current Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. “My priority is to ensure that players feel more amateur than professional,” Scolari once said. “Thirty to forty years ago, the effort was the other way. Now there is so much professionalism, we have to revert to urging players to like the game, love it, do it with joy.” Anyone who watches Neymar often would say Scolari has so far accomplished that goal. Neymar would make a great Olympian; a true global superstar who plays with a smile. Too bad too many in the Premier League take it too seriously. Another win for modern day over-professionalism. Thankfully it isnt creeping into our childrens schools during Sochi 2014. ROME — Milos Raonic was a few points away from locking up a spot in a Masters 1000 final for the second time in his career. Instead a letdown in a second-set tiebreaker proved costly for the Canadian as he dropped a three-set decision to Novak Djokovic on Saturday at the Italian Open. The second-ranked Djokovic will now renew his rivalry with top-ranked Rafael Nadal in the championship match Sunday. There will be an enticing womens championship too, with top-ranked Serena Williams to face Sara Errani, the tournaments first Italian finalist in nearly 30 years. Djokovic took his time before figuring out Raonics massive serve for a 6-7 (5), 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory in a three-hour match at the Foro Italico. “I did the things I wanted to do. I didnt execute in the moments I would have liked but I did create a lot of opportunities for myself,” Raonic said. "I just wish I would have played a few situations differently. I had the right approach but wasnt able to execute well (all) of the time. “I felt I had a chance in the match. I brought my best tennis (so) I could give myself an opportunity — which I was able to do today. It came down to a few moments and he performed better in those moments than I did.” Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., had 55 winners but also made 42 unforced errors. The 23-year-old missed out on three break-point chances in the second set while Djokovic earned an early break in the third for a lead he wouldnt relinquish. “It was a tight match that was decided in the first two sets on a few points,” Djokovic said. “He put a lot of pressure on my service games. And when you serve that well, you dont have as much pressure on your return games.” Raonics serve flirted with the 230 km/h mark at times and he fired 17 aces. “I cant recall the last time when I was feeling so helpless in the return games,” Djokovic said. “It was brutal.” In mens doubles action, Canadas Daniel Nestor and Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic reached the final with a 7-6 (3), 4-6, 12-10 win over Bob and Mike Bryan of the United States. Raonic lost to Nadal in the final of the 2013 Rogers Cup in his lone Masters 1000 final appearance. He will return to a career-high No. 9 in the world rankings on Monday. Raonic will also be a top-eight seed at the French Open in two weeks since Argentinas Juan Martin Del Potro — currently the world No. 7 - will be unable to compete because of injury. The Italian Open is the last key clay-court tuneup before the upcoming French Open. Having been stretched to three sets in his opening three matches this week, Nadal finally put in a complete performance with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Grigor Dimitrov in the late semifinal. “Today was a good confirmation that I really played better … a lot of positive things,” Nadal said. “(Djokovic) is playing great and its going to be a really tough match.” Nadal holds a 22-18 career edge vs. Djokovic but the Serb won their last meeting for the Sony Open title in March in Key Biscayne, Florida. Nadal already has a record seven titles in Rome, while Djokovic is seeking his third championship at the Foro Italico. They have met in three finals here, with Nadal winning two of them. Williams overcame a second-set lapse to beat Ana Ivanovic 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 and gain a measure of revenge for a fourth-round loss to the Serb at this years Australian Open. Using vocal crowd support to her advantage, Errani fought back from a 4-1 deficit in the second set for a 6-3, 7-5 win over two-time Rome champion Jelena Jankovic. Williams is aiming for her third Rome title, having won this clay-court tuneup for Roland Garros in 2002 and last year. The American is 6-0 in her career against Errani and lost just one game in their last meeting, in the semifinals of last years French Open. “Shes just taken her game to a whole new level and she has so much confidence beating two really good top-10 players and two really great clay-court players,” Williams said, also referring to Erranis win over second-seeded Li Na in the quarter-finals. “So I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. Its not going to be easy. And she has nothing to lose and she has the crowd behind her. So its going to be a really tough match for me.” Nadal went the distance against Gilles Simon, Mikhail Youzhny and Andy Murray in his opening rounds this week but had relatively little trouble against Dimitrov, who was playing in his first Masters series semifinal. Afterward, Djokovic appealed for help for his flood-hit native Serbia, and wrote a message of support on a camera lens, adding I love you in Cyrillic. “This is a total catastrophe of biblical proportions,” he said. “Half the country is in danger of not having electricity.” Errani drew emotion from the crowd. “There were a few moments when I thought I might not pull it off but the fans were huge,” said Errani, who is attempting to become the first Italian to win the tournament since Raffaella Reggi took the 1985 title in Taranto. The last Italian man to win was Adriano Panatta back in 1976. Its already Erranis best result since reaching the 2012 French Open final. Jankovic, the 2007 and 2008 Rome champion, repeatedly asked the chair umpire to come down and check marks but none of them were overturned, resulting only in the crowd stepping up its encouragement for Errani. “Just do it, Sara. Just do it, Sara,” the fans cheered late in the second set. The highly partisan crowd frequently applauded Errani while points were still being played and cheered even when Jankovic double-faulted. “(The crowd) was all on her side but its normal, shes the local player,” Jankovic said. “I tried to stay focused on my game, and play my tennis but she was the better player today.” -—— With files from The Canadian Press. OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators were on the verge of a massive comeback, only to fall short in overtime. After overcoming a three-goal deficit the Senators forced the game to overtime only to watch it slip away as Seth Jones scored the winner 3:49 into the extra period as the Nashville Predators defeated the Senators 4-3 Monday night. Ryan Ellis broke in alone on goaltender Robin Lehner and Jones was there to bang home the loose puck. “It was a tough one to slip away and we almost gave it away,” said Jones. “We need all the points we can get right now so it was nice to pull away with two.” The win allowed the Predators (27-28-10) to snap a four-game losing streak. The Senators say they take solace in earning the single point, but at the same time know they need to be better if they hope to stay in the playoff race. “The way the game was looking going into the third period it looked pretty bleak for us to get that one point so well take the positive,” said Ottawas Marc Methot. “It would have been nice to get two, but were happy with the resiliency we showed at the end.” Nick Spaling, Craig Smith and Eric Nystrom also scored for Nashville. Pekka Rinne faced 37 shots. This was Rinnes first victory in four starts since returning from injury. Jared Cowen, Methot and Jason Spezza scored for the Senators (28-25-12). Craig Anderson allowed three goals on 29 shots before leaving the game early in the third. Lehner faced 13 shots in relief. Senators coach Paul MacLean said he didnt have an immediate update on Anderson, but didnt believe it was anything serious. Holding a 3-0 lead the Predators nearly let the game slip away in the third as the Senators scored twice in a span of 2:39. “I thought we played real well, especially the first two periods,” said Nashvilles Mike Fisher. “We thought we were the better team, but then gave them a little life in the third and the crowd came alive for them and before you knew it, it was 3-3.” Spezza tied the game with 67 seconds remaining in regulation. The newly acquired Ales Hemsky, who had three assists, found Spezza at the side of the net and the Senators captain banged it in. “We knew we had to make a push in the third and it showed a lot of character for us to get a pointt,” said Spezza.dddddddddddd. “We kept coming and coming, but it sure would have been nice to pull that one out in overtime.” The comeback started midway through the third, as Cowen was able to find the puck through traffic in front and push it past Rinne. Spezza picked up his second assist of the night as he found a surging Methot to make it a 3-2 game at the halfway mark. The Predators three unanswered second period goals appeared to make this game look all but decided. “We normally do a better job of locking these games down,” said Predators head coach Barry Trotz. Anderson could hardly be blamed for any of the goals as he was the victim of two redirections and a giveaway. Andersons night came to an end at 4:10 of the third after he was hit in the head by teammate Milan Michalek. On the first goal Spaling tipped a Michael Del Zotto point shot at the eight-minute mark of the second. Less than two minutes later Colin Wilson won the faceoff in the Senators end and got the puck to Jones on the point. The blue liner then passed it to Mattias Ekholm, who took a shot that Smith re-directed in front. The Predators made it 3-0 on Nystroms unassisted goal. Methot went to clear the puck and it landed directly on Nystroms stick for the easy finish on Anderson. A scoreless first period was highlighted by the damage inflicted by Shea Webers powerful shot. First, Anderson dropped to the ice after taking a Weber shot in the shoulder and minutes later Cody Ceci took a shot to the head that left him with a lacerated right ear. He did not return to the game. “You never want to see anyone go down like that,” said Weber. “Hopefully hes doing all right because thats nothing you ever want to see.” Following the game Ceci tweeted, “Thanks for all your concerns just a cut and a little shaken up should be back at it soon enough.” Notes: The Senators were without LW Clarke MacArthur as he has a hand injury, but is expected to return for Saturdays game against Montreal. EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - A security guard at the Los Angeles Lakers training centre has been charged with stealing two NBA championship rings that disappeared last week. El Segundo police said in a statement Thursday that Eddie J. Monterroso has been charged with felony grand theft and burglary. Hes accused of taking the rings and gift cards valued at nearly $20,000. The statement says detectives began investigating the theft Dec. 5 and arrested Monterroso outside the practice facility Tuesday. Police say they searched Monterrosos Inglewood home and found the rings from the Lakers 2009 and 2010 championship seasons. Police could not say who the rings belonged to. Monterroso has not entered a plea, and police didnt know if he has an attorney. A phone message left at a possible home number was not immediately returned. An excellent start from Drew Hutchison and the return of Jose Bautista helped provide a little breathing room in the divisional race while ending a three-game losing skid at the same time.AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Andre Drummond is starting to look more comfortable at the foul line — and on this night, those extra free throws he made turned out to be crucial. Drummond had 22 points and 13 rebounds, going 6 of 8 from the free throw line in Detroits 103-99 victory over Brooklyn on Friday night. The Pistons led by 21 early in the third quarter before holding off a determined rally by the Nets. Drummond is shooting 41 per cent from the foul line on the season — and thats actually a substantial improvement. At one point he was 3 for 17, but now hes developed a routine, holding the ball for several seconds before releasing the shot. “I work hard at it every day, so the results are going to show up sooner rather than later,” Drummond said. “Tonight was an example of the hard work I put into it.” The Nets cut their deficit to two before Detroits Kyle Singler made two free throws with 10.4 seconds left. The Pistons snapped a three-game losing streak and ended Brooklyns three-game winning streak. Deron Williams led Brooklyn with 22 points. The Nets were without centre Brook Lopez, who sat out with a sprained left ankle. “It doesnt matter who plays for us or who were playing, we have to protect the paint and we didnt do that tonight,” Nets coach Jason Kidd said. “Theres some improvement — we kept fighting down the stretch even when we got behind — but we cant get that far behind.” Greg Monroe added 22 points for the Pistons, and Rodney Stuckey had 17. Detroit outscored the Nets 38-20 in the second quarter and led 61-44 at halftime. Brooklyns Mirza Teletovic, who did not attempt a shot in the first half, scored 17 points in the second, making his first five shots from 3-point range. His final points pulled the Nets within 98-91, and a tip-in by Andray Blatche cut the margin to five. Teletovic finally missed from beyond the arc, and Blatche missed two free throws with 1:38 to play. Then Monroe made a hook inside to make it 100-93 with 54 seconds left. Williams was fouled while shooting a 3-pointer with 51 seconds left and made all three shots, cutting thhe lead to four.dddddddddddd After an offensive foul on Josh Smith, the Nets had a chance to pull even closer, but Detroits Brandon Jennings knocked the ball out of bounds off Williams leg as the Brooklyn guard drove to the basket, giving the Pistons the ball back with 24 seconds left. Monroe made one of two free throws with 18.5 seconds to play, but Paul Pierces 3-pointer made it 101-99. Singler calmly went to the line and made both of his free throws to make it a two-possession game again. “Weve just got to learn from it,” Detroits Chauncey Billups said after the big lead nearly slipped away. “Weve got to just quit playing not to lose the game. … If you do, and you get hesitant and you get passive and the other team gets aggressive, thats what happens.” With Lopez out, Brooklyn couldnt do much about Drummond and Monroe inside. Drummonds most impressive play may have been when he tipped the ball back over his head and into the basket with one hand after Jennings missed everything on a wild shot from the perimeter. That gave the Pistons a 50-39 lead. Drummond had 18 points and seven rebounds at the half, and Stuckey had 16 points. In the third quarter, Drummond missed a dunk along the baseline but was able to tip the ball in almost immediately to give Detroit a 74-55 lead. “That front line is tough,” Blatche said. “They are great offensive rebounders and they just pounded us out there. The guards are driving to the basket and the bigs are just all over the boards. We definitely missed Brook, because at least hes a big body out there.” Brooklyns Kevin Garnett surpassed 14,000 rebounds in the second half. He joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone as the only players to reach 25,000 points, 14,000 rebounds and 5,000 assists. NOTES: Stuckey scored a season-high 27 points in a win at Brooklyn last month. Joe Johnson, who had 34 points for the Nets in that game, was held to 12 on 5-of-16 shooting on Friday. … Garnett was called for a technical foul in the second quarter, and Blatche was called for flagrantly fouling Drummond with 2:27 left in the half. CHICAGO - The Cleveland Indians almost wasted a great chance to grab the lead in the seventh inning on Saturday. Then Ryan Raburn came to the plate and did what he usually does against the Chicago White Sox. Raburn hit a tiebreaking single and David Murphy drove in four runs, leading the Indians to a 12-6 victory over the White Sox. “Its a team win,” Raburn said. “Just to be able to be in that position to help us out, I mean, thats a tribute to our team putting us in that position.” Murphy, Nick Swisher and Jason Kipnis homered for Cleveland, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Murphy added a bases-loaded triple in a four-run ninth against Donnie Veal. The Indians improved to 18-4 against the White Sox since the beginning of last season, overcoming another shaky start by Justin Masterson. They will try for a split of the four-game series Sunday. “It was a long day of good at-bats and we needed them,” Indians manager Terry Francona said. Adam Eaton had two hits, including his first homer, and walked twice for the White Sox, who have scored five or more runs in nine of their 12 games this season. “Were going up there with an approach and trying to execute the approach,” Eaton said. “It will come around and well be just fine. I love seeing the fight.” Alexei Ramirezs nifty slide past catcher Carlos Santana tied it at 6 in the fifth, but Raburn put the Indians ahead to stay with a two-run single in the seventh. The Indians loaded the bases with one out against Ronald Belisario (1-1) and Scott Downs. Daniel Webb came in and got Asdrubal Cabrera to foul out, but Raburn followed with a bouncer into centre field to make it 8-6. “They got a chance to wiggle out of that with a tie game at home and Raburn smacks that ball up the middle and gives us the lead,” Francona said. “That was huge.” Raburn, who began his career with Detroit, has a .301 batting average, 17 homers and 72 RBIs in 97 career games against Chicago. “This is one of those places, I feel pretty comfortable up there,” he said. “Ive faced these guys so many times you kind of get a knack for what theyre trying to do, but youve still got to put the bat on the ball.” Raburns big hit handed a win to Josh Outman, one of four relievers who shut down the White Sox after Masterson laboured through 4 2-3 innings. Outman (2-0), Bryan Shaw, Cody Allen and John Axford combined for 4 1-3 innings of one-hit ball. Masterson was charged with six runs, five earned, and seven hits in his first start since he lasted just 3 2-3 innings against Minnesota last Sunday. The right-hander also walked five to go along with seven strikeouts. “I was decently happy with the way things took place as far as how I felt when I let go of the ball,” Masterson said. “Sometimes after letting go of the ball, the things I cant control, they got me a little bit.” Masterson dominated the White Sox last year, going 4-0 with a sparkling 0.83 ERA in 32 2-3 innings. Chicago right-hander Felipe Paulino also had a rough start, allowing six runs and six hits in five innings. “Ive been fighting a lot executing my pitches (the) last couple of games,” Paulino said. “But I miss a lot of spots. … My slider comes sometimes, but Im looking for consistency.” Francona won a replay challenge after Nyjer Morgan was picked off in the first, leading to three runs. The overturned call put Morgan back at first base, and he eventually scored on Michael Brantleys two-run single. Cabrera added a run-scoring groundout. Eatons homer gave the White Sox a 5-4 lead in the second. Cleveland went back in front when Swisher and Kipnis connected in the fifth. It was the first set of back-to-back homers for the Indians this season. NOTES: Indians OF Michael Bourn (strained left hamstring) will play another rehab game with Double-A Akron on Sunday. “I think hes feeling pretty good. I think the last thing is being able to get to that gear and not having to think about it. Thatll be when hes ready to go,” Francona said. … Indians RHP Corey Kluber (1-1, 7.71 ERA) and White Sox LHP Jose Quintana (1-0, 2.77) square off in the series finale. … The Indians are off Monday, and Francona said RHP Carlos Carrasco will work out of the bullpen before making his next start Saturday against Toronto. Carrasco allowed five runs and six hits in 4 2-3 innings during Fridays 9-6 loss to the White Sox. . That experience looks to have swayed coach Warren Gatlands thinking, with the New Zealander going with the tried and tested and deciding against picking any new faces. “We were a little bit slow starting last year and we know we need to start well on Feb. 1,” Gatland said on Tuesday. “Weve picked a pretty experienced squad and kept it fairly tight at this stage.” Centre Jonathan Davies was included, even though he will miss the first three rounds with a chest injury sustained during the November test series. Sam Warburton also hasnt played since the autumn internationals because of a shoulder injury but is named as captain. Gethin Jenkins is one of the props, although there are concerns over the state of his knee after he was injured in Cardiffs loss to Toulon in the Heineken Cup at the weekend. Thhe Welsh are aiming to become the first team to win three straight Six Nations.dddddddddddd “We have got an opportunity to create history and that is something we will focus on and something that will give us extra motivation,” said Gatland, who handed over the reins to assistant Rob Howley for the 2013 tournament while he concentrated on his role as British Lions coach. “We have got the three games at home and two tough away games but when we won the Grand Slam in 2008 and 2012 we had these fixtures so we know it can be done.” Wales away games are against Ireland and England. -—— Wales: Forwards: Paul James, Gethin Jenkins, Ryan Bevington, Richard Hibbard, Ken Owens, Emyr Phillips, Adam Jones, Samson Lee, Rhodri Jones, Alun Wyn Jones, Luke Charteris, Ian Evans, Andrew Coombs, Ryan Jones, Justin Tipuric, Sam Warburton (captain), Toby Faletau, Dan Lydiate, Aaron Shingler. FORTALEZA, Brazil — The Dutch were worried about the oppressive heat at Arena Castelao, and they left it with the stifling hot conditions to thank for a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals. An inspired tactical change during the second of two official stoppages led to a late goal from Netherlands forward Wesley Sneijder and an injury-time penalty from Klaas Jan Huntelaar in a dramatic 2-1 victory over Mexico on Sunday. “I moved to Plan B at the cooling break,” said Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal, soon to be the manager at Manchester United. “That is a good way to take advantage of those breaks.” Despite scoring 10 goals in three group matches, the Dutch again started the match with a defensive 5-3-2 system. Van Gaal made the switch to a more attacking 4-3-3 formation in the second half and tweaked it further when referee Pedro Proenca stopped the match in the 76th minute to allow players to rehydrate. That helped turn the match around and extend Mexicos second-round curse to six straight World Cups. “Unbelievable,” said Arjen Robben, the Netherlands forward that earned the late penalty. “Five minutes from full time, we were out.” Instead of the Dutch players, it was the Mexicans who wilted in the heat as they conceded twice as many goals in the final minutes of the match as they had in the entire group stage. “The humidity was against us, but we were fresher and fitter than the Mexicans,” Van Gaal said. “Yes, we escaped. But we showed that we could create more chances with 4-3-3, and the players handled this shift very well.” The Dutch will next face Costa Rica in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Salvador, and may have to play without midfielder Nigel de Jong, who was substituted in the ninth minute with a groin injury. Mexico coach Miguel Herrera, one of the most popular characters at the World Cup because of his emotive ways on the sidelines, blamed Proenca for the loss and accused Robben of diving under a challenge from Rafael Marquez to earn the penalty. “Today it was the man with the whistle who eliminated us from the World Cup,” Herrera said. "If a referee invents a penalty, youre out of the World Cup. “I hope they have a look at what happened and that this gentleman goes home just like we are.” Marquez said Robben admitted that it was a bad call, but added that the Dutchman thought he should have been awarded a spot kick for an earlier challenge. “I spoke with him after the match and he told me that it was not a penalty,” Marquez said. “He said that the first foul was a penalty and that one was not called.” Mexico has now advanced to the second round at the World Cup six straight times and not reached the quarterfinals. The last time the team made it that far was as host of the 1986 tournament. Giovani Dos Santos gave the Mexicans the lead in the 48th minute after a goalless first half, but Sneijder equalized with a hard shot in the 88th. It was the first time Sneijder, who scored five goals at the last World Cup in South Africa, has found the net in Brazil. Robben, who has already scored three goals for the Dutch at this years tournament, then earned the penalty in the fourth minute of injury time but he handed the ball to Huntelaar. “You dont know when your chance will come, but it was today, and so you grab it with both hands,” said Huntelaar, who replaced captain Robin van Persie in the 76th minute. “And it was fantastic.” For Mexico, goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was again the star player, pulling off two more great saves after playing a key role in holding Brazil to a 0-0 draw in Group A. But he couldnt block Sneijders shot and guessed wrong when diving in an attempt to stop Huntelaars penalty. “It isnt easy to go out this way, the way this match went,” Ochoa said. “Its just very hard to deal with when victory escapes you this way.” . Nowitzki scored 28 points, Harris had a season-high 14 for the second straight game and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Detroit Pistons 116-106 Sunday night. With Monta Ellis struggling to take care of the ball — he had eight of Dallas 17 turnovers — Harris offered a steady hand in just his fifth game of the season after a setback in recovery cost him an extra month. “Im making the most of my experience on the floor, trying to get used to playing with different guys in different situations,” said Harris, who led Dallas with seven assists while making just one turnover. “Im using this as kind of my training camp.” Brandon Jennings had 26 points and seven assists to lead the Pistons, who lost their fourth straight. Josh Smith had 25 points and eight rebounds, while Greg Monroe had 20 points and nine boards. Jose Calderon scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting for Dallas, including a jumper that put the lead back in double digits for good with 2:37 remaining. Nowitzki was 10 of 16 from the field in his second straight game wearing a sleeve on his sore left knee after sitting out a loss in Toronto. Its not the knee that required surgery and sidelined him the first 27 games last season. The 7-footer had a pair of 3s and eight points in the fourth, including one that pushed the lead back to 13 during a stretch of three straight buckets assisted by Harris. Nowitzki scored five straight points in the final 2 minutes after the Pistons had earlier pulled within eight, and he led Dallas with nine rebounds and threw in four assists. “We know Dirk,” Detroit coach Maurice Cheeks said. “Weve known it for a long time. He can make a play for himself or give it to somebody else. He makes those 3s at the right time.” Harris scored five straight points in the final minute of the third quarter to break a 79-all tie, hitting a long jumper and the pulling up for a 3-pointer in transition. His other 3 early in the fourth capped a 15-2 run for a 94-81 Dallas lead. “On a night when Monta couuldnt get it going, its a godsend to have a guy like Devin available,” coach Rick Carlisle said.dddddddddddd “Hes an experienced NBA player whos really done everything.” The Pistons got within five midway through the fourth, but Vince Carter hit a layup to start an 8-0 run as the Mavericks answered consecutive losses on an East Coast trip by winning the opener of a four-game homestand that includes a pair of two-day breaks. After Carters bucket, Brandan Wright had one of his three fourth-quarter blocks on a drive by Kyle Singler, and Calderon hit a layup in transition at the other end. “We were close several times in the game to kind of blowing the top off and we got sloppy with the ball,” said Wright, whose three blocks were matched by Sam Dalembert. “But we stuck with it.” The Pistons opened the second half with a 12-2 run to get even at 58-all. Jennings scored seven straight Detroit points and had 12 in the third quarter, including a 3-pointer that gave Detroit its first lead since late in the first quarter. Jennings go-ahead bucket triggered a stretch of four lead changes and four ties in the third. “We made a nice run,” Cheeks said. “I thought Brandon played well in the third quarter. He was the difference in why we came back.” The Mavericks made 10 of their first 12 shots, but had seven turnovers in the first 9 minutes. DeJuan Blairs layup finished an 8-0 run that gave Dallas its biggest lead of the first half at 49-37, but Detroit answered with seven straight points capped by Kentavious Caldwell-Popes layup after a bad pass from Nowitzki, one of Dallas 11 first-half turnovers. NOTES: Carlisle said before the game he thinks Nowitzki will make the All-Star game as a reserve. His 11-year All-Star streak ended last season. All-Star reserves are announced Thursday. … Pistons C Andre Drummond had four points and six rebounds two nights after his first career game with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds against New Orleans. He had an 11-game streak of at least 11 rebounds snapped. … The Mavericks shot 61 per cent in the first half despite going 1 of 9 from 3-point range. LONDON — Manchester Uniteds seven-point lead over neighbour Manchester City stayed intact after the title-chasing rivals downed two of the Premier Leagues fallen giants in contrasting ways on Sunday. While United ended up scraping to a nervy 2-1 win at home to Liverpool, City sauntered to a 2-0 victory at Arsenal after playing against 10 men for most of the match. Laurent Koscielnys ninth-minute red card for wrestling Edin Dzeko to the ground inside the area proved decisive, with Dzeko missing the resulting penalty but later adding to the superb opener by James Milner. The only negative for City after its first league win at Arsenal in 38 years was the red card awarded to Vincent Kompany for a two-footed tackle, which will deprive the team of its captain for three games. Robin van Persie set United on the way to victory over its greatest rival at Old Trafford with his league-high 17th goal of the campaign. Nemanja Vidic unwittingly made it 2-0 but United had to resort to some desperate defending to preserve the lead after substitute Daniel Sturridges goal on his league debut for Liverpool. “It was a big game, everyone felt that during the week, and this is a great result,” said Van Persie, whose arrival from Arsenal in August is proving to be a big factor in the title battle. Many pundits were dubbing this weekend a pivotal moment in the title race but the status quo remains with 16 matches still to play. Chelsea, a 4-0 winner at Stoke on Saturday, can keep its slim hopes of catching the Manchester clubs alive by beating Southampton on Wednesday in their game in hand to reduce the gap to United to 11 points. Playing in the days early kickoff, United had piled the pressure on City by holding off a valiant fightback from Liverpool after getting itself into a position to coast home at Old Trafford. “The name of the game is winning,” United manager Alex Ferguson said. “There are moments where you have to defend. Today was one of them.” Van Persies well-taken finish — his ninth goal in his last nine games — in the 19th minute came from one of a host of first-half chances created against a slovenly Liverpool team that gave the ball away with alarming regularity early on. When Vidic made it 2-0 in the 54th by glancing in Patrice Evras downward header, United relaxed and Liverpool started to threaten. Sturridge, who transformed Liverpool following his arrival at the start of the second half, reduced the deficit from close range within three minutes but missed the best of the chances to equalize late on. “I am very proud of the fight of the team in the second half having gone 2-0 down,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, whose side stayed in eighth place. “Teams who come here often crumble but I thought by the end we deserved something to be honest.” Arsenal and Liverpool used to be regular challengers for the title but their main target nowadays is qualification for the Champions League. Even that might be beyond Arsenal this season, with the loss to City leaving Arsene Wengers side six points adrift of fourth-place Tottenham in sixth. From the moment Koscielny was dismissed for hauling Dzeko to the ground, the hosts were always up against it. “We started too timidly with not enough authority … and we paid for it,” Wenger said. “Playing 80 minutes with 10 men against 11 is difficult.” City ensured there would be no coming back for Arsenal by scoring twice in a 12-minute span midway through the first half. Milner drove in the 21st-minute opening goal from Carlos Tevezs cute pass and then supplied the cross that Dzeko ended up tapping in after Tevezs flick-on was saved. “Them going down to 10 men helped (but) before the sending-off, we looked the most dangerous side anyway,” Milner said. “It was important we did not give them a sniff.” With City having come from eight points behind with six games left to win the title last season, the current seven-point gap doesnt concern manager Roberto Mancini. “United is a strong team — at this moment, they are playing very well,” he said, “but this season is long and its important we are still there.” Mancini said City will be appealing against Kompanys sending-off, given in the 75th minute when he left the ground and lunged studs-first at Jack Wilshere. “Its absolutely not a red card. He anticipated the opponent,” Mancini said. “He (Kompany) is disappointed. He said, I did nothing.” .Com Tour. Justin Dowling, Travis Morin and Francis Wathier also scored for the Stars (22-10-5), who bypassed Abbotsford for top spot in the West Division, and Mike Hedden tacked on two assists. Canada dropped a 24-21 decision to Zimbabwe before bouncing back with a 10-7 win over Spain. All three sides finished with seven points apiece in Pool E to move on to the final eight while the Philippines was last with only three points.BIRMINGHAM, England — Arsenal scored two goals in the space of 59 seconds on its way to a 2-1 win over Aston Villa that put the visitors back on top of the Premier League on Monday. Jack Wilsheres 34th-minute opener was quickly followed by a well-taken goal by Olivier Giroud, which proved to be enough to lift Arsenal back above Manchester City and Chelsea after their victories at the weekend. Belgium striker Christian Benteke scored his first goal since mid-September to give Villa hope in the 76th minute but the home side couldnt find an equalizer despite late pressure. “The first half was more about playing, and the second half was more about fighting,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. With its fourth straight league win, Arsenal restored its one-point lead over City after 21 matches. To cap another disappointing result at Villa Park for the mid-table hosts, Villa defender Nathan Baker was carried off on a stretcher in the 21st minute after briefly losing consciousness when he was hit straight in the face by a shot from Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry. Baker required oxygen and a neck brace after being treated on the field for seven minutes. He was later diagnosed with mild concussion, according to broadcaster Sky Sports. The pressure was on Arsenal after seeing the rest of the top seven all pick up victories by two-goal margins over the weekend. However, save for a worrying last 15 minutes when Villaa rallied gamely, the Gunners passed the ball much better and always looked the likely winners.dddddddddddd Wilsheres goal came when he ran onto a cut-back from left back Nacho Monreal, took a touch and shot low in to the bottom corner to the left of goalkeeper Brad Guzan. Just seventeen seconds after the restart, the ball hit the back of the net again. This time Wilshere was the provider, the England midfielder collecting a loose ball and playing a sublime pass through to Giroud, who brought the ball down well and fired across Guzan into the corner. It was the France strikers ninth league goal of the season on his return to the first team after a spell out through injury and illness. Villa had only scored seven goals in its previous 10 home games this season so a comeback was unlikely, even if memories were relatively fresh of a surprise win at Arsenal on the first day of the season. However, when Benteke stooped to head in Matthew Lowtons fine cross at full stretch after Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla sloppily gave possession away, it was all to play for with 14 minutes left. Bentekes downward header, saved comfortably by Wojciech Szczesny, was the closest Villa came to earning a point. “Its a massive three points, especially because we dropped a bit in the second half,” Wilshere said. “We have done that a few times, letting teams come on to us, but we dealt well with it.” cheap jerseys whole… jerseys ’ ’ ’

Tim Wallach, Murray Cook and Dave Van Horne – three men whose names were synonymous with the Montreal Expos – will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame on June 21. The Hall also announced on Monday that Canadian national team coach Jim Ridley will be inducted posthumously. “Tim Wallach and Dave Van Horne are two names that have become synonymous with the Montreal Expos, and both have had a significant impact on baseball in this country, and Murray Cook and Jim Ridley helped blaze a trail for Canadians in the professional scouting and executive ranks,” said Scott Crawford, the halls director of operations said in a statement. “Were proud and excited to celebrate their careers in St. Marys this June.” Wallach is the Expos all-time leader in several statistical categories, including games played (1,767), hits (1,694), doubles (360), RBI (905) and total bases (2,728). Nicknamed “Eli” by his teammates, Wallach also ranks third all-time amongst Expos in runs (737) and fourth in home runs (204). Chosen 10th overall by the Expos in the 1979 amateur draft, Wallach began his big league career as an outfielder before evolving into the best third baseman in the franchises history. In 13 seasons with the Expos from 1980 to 1992, Wallach was selected to five all-star games (1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990), won three Gold Gloves (1985, 1988, 1990) and captured two Silver Slugger Awards (1985, 1987). He was also named to the Topps All-Star Rookie team in 1981, topped the National League in doubles in 1987 and 1989 and finished fourth in National League MVP voting in 1987. Van Horne began his Montreal career behind the mike with the Expos first game on April 8, 1969 until the end of the 2000 season. He became known for his trademark catch-phrases like “Up, up and away!” when the Expos hit a home run. In his 32 seasons with the Expos, he broadcast the down-to-the-wire pennant races in 1979 and 1980, the teams only post-season run in 1981 and Dennis Martinezs perfect game on July 28, 1991 – a performance that inspired, perhaps, his most famous call, “El Presidente, El Perfecto!” In 2001, Van Horne accepted the radio play-by-play position with the Florida Marlins and he would later broadcast the clubs World Series-winning 2003 campaign. In 1996, Van Horne received the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fames Jack Graney Award for broadcasting excellence and 15 years later, he was the recipient of the National Baseball Hall of Fames equivalent honour, the Ford C. Frick Award. Now entering his 46th year of broadcasting major league games, Van Horne is set to become the second Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductee (Tom Cheek is the other) to have won both the Jack Graney and Ford C. Frick Awards. Born in Sackville, N.B. in 1940, Murray Cook has spent more than half a century in professional baseball. After graduating from Ohio University with a masters degree in history in 1962, he was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played shortstop and third base in the lower levels of their system for parts of four years, before hanging up his spikes to become the general manager of their Class-A affiliate in Gastonia in 1966. The Pirates promoted him to their big league front office in 1967. He was named the teams assistant farm director the following year and soon rose through the ranks to become the clubs assistant director of minor league operations in 1972 and director of scouting in 1977. After 21 years in the Pirates organization, Cook was hired to be the New York Yankees scouting director in January 1983. Just over six months later, he was named the clubs general manager, becoming just the second Canadian to be a big league GM (Huntsville, Ont., native George Selkirk was the Washington Senators GM from 1964 to 1969). Cook remains just one of five Canadians to serve as a GM at the major league level. The others are Selkirk, Gord Ash (Toronto Blue Jays, 1995 to 2001), Doug Melvin (Texas Rangers, 1994 to 2001; Milwaukee Brewers, 2003 to present) and Alex Anthopoulos (Toronto Blue Jays, 2009 to present). In 1984, Cook was reassigned to the position of vice-president and director of scouting with the Yankees, before he replaced John McHale as general manager of the Expos on September 5 of that year. Drafting Randy Johnson, signing free agent Dennis Martinez and rebuilding the Expos into a surprising contender were among the highlights of his close to three years in Montreal. Following his tenure with the Expos, he served as the general manager of the Cincinnati Reds in 1988 and 1989. Since 1990, he has worked in scouting capacities for the Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. In 2010, he was named East Scout of the Year for his contributions to the scouting field. He is currently the Tigers East Coast regional cross checker. After two seasons as an outfielder in the Milwaukee Braves organization in 1964 and 1965, Toronto native Jim Ridley returned to Canada where he would have a significant impact on baseball in his home country for the next four decades. While continuing his playing career in the Intercounty Baseball League – where he was named league MVP with Stratford Hillers in 1974 – Ridley launched his storied coaching and scouting career. He began as a part-time scout with the Detroit Tigers in 1973, before joining the Toronto Blue Jays in 1976 to run the clubs first tryout camp in Utica, N.Y. In his 26 years as a scout with the Blue Jays, Ridley was the driving force behind the clubs decisions to sign Canadians like Paul Spoljaric, Rob Butler and David Corrente. He also served as a coach with the Blue Jays rookie-level affiliate in Medicine Hat from 1978 to 1980. A highly respected coach at the local level, Ridley also coached the Canadian junior national team from 1983 to 1988, leading the squad to bronze medals at the World Junior Baseball Championship in 1983 and 1987. In 1988, he coached the Canadian Olympic baseball team and three years later, he was tabbed to manage Canadas squad at the Pan Am Games. Starting in 2002, Ridley served as a scout with the Minnesota Twins. Rene Tosoni and Jon Waltenbury are among the Canadians he signed and brought into the Twins organization. Ridley passed away from cancer on November 28, 2008. Each year, the Canadian Baseball Network presents the Jim Ridley Award to the countrys top scout in his memory. Buckingham Palace said the monarch will open both the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics this summer, signalling that both events will be celebrated as great state occasions — something the British are famous for. It is the first time the queen has opened the Paralympic Games, though she has often honoured Paralympians for their achievements in the past. Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, will perform the ceremonial role at the 80,000-seat Olympic Stadium when the Olympic games begin on July 27, and for the Paralympic Games on Aug. 29. “I think that this is great news for the games,” said Tanni Grey Thompson, one of Britains most successful Paralympic athletes, in an email. “Im sure that it will make it very special for the athletes. It really raises it to another level.” The queen follows in the footsteps of her father, the late King George VI, who opened the 1948 London Olympics, and her great grandfather, King Edward VII, who opened the 1908 London Olympics. Elizabeth also opened the 1976 Games in Canada, where she is the head of state, while Philip did so on her behalf at Melbourne, Australia, in 1956. The decision to open both ceremonies caps a very busy year for the queen, whose Diamond Jubilee this year marks her 60 years on the throne. The monarch, 85, and Philip, 90, are planning an extensive tour of the United Kingdom during the celebrations, including visits to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Philip is planning to stick to the schedule desspite his December heart scare, which required the insertion of a stent to keep his coronary arteries open.dddddddddddd. At home, the celebrations will include a flotilla on the River Thames, a gala concert in front of Buckingham Palace (with headliners including Paul McCartney and Elton John) and a carriage procession through the streets of London following a service of thanksgiving. Unlike earlier jubilee celebrations, the queen will send her children and grandchildren on official visits to many Commonwealth countries rather than undertake the strenuous voyages herself. She will be busy at the palace, though. Elizabeth will open Buckingham Palace to visitors from June 30-July 8 to accommodate Olympic activities. The palace then will close for a few weeks — until July 31 — before opening to the public as is the monarchs usual summer practice. Though it was long assumed that the queen, as head of state, would open the Olympics, her involvement in opening the Paralympics was not widely anticipated, as she normally takes her holiday at this time of year. Historian Hugo Vickers said that the decision reflects her interest in honouring the accomplishments of the athletes. “They are going to be taken very seriously,” he said of the games. “I think its going to be great.” Some 4,200 athletes will take part in the Paralympics Games from Aug. 29 to Sept 9. The event marks the return of the games to their roots. The Paralympics started in London in 1948 when injured veterans held the first disabled sport competition in archery. Wiggins, from Vaughan, Ont., joined his former coach as a guest instructor at Selfs basketball camp in suburban Kansas City on Sunday. And while Wiggins declined to speak to the few reporters at Shawnee Mission West High School, Self said the rookie wants to carve out his own legacy in the NBA. "When all this trade stuff started, I talked to Andrew and Andrew told me, “I hope I get traded,” Self said. "And Im like, No you dont. And he said, “Coach, I do. Its better for me, knowing my personality and what I need to do, to go somewhere where Im forced to be something as opposed to going in there where theyre going to be patient with me and Im going to be a piece.” Earlier this week, The Associated Press and several other outlets reported a deal has been reached to send Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick to Minnesota for All-Star forward Kevin Love, who will join LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to form a new “Big 3” in Cleveland. The deal cannot be consummated until Aug. 23, when Wiggins is eligible to be traded. Self said that he initially thought everything worked out perfectly for Wiggins, who would have a chance to win immediately in Cleveland. But he also ssaw Wiggins point: The low-key, soft-spoken swingman could fare better if hes carrying the weight of a franchise.dddddddddddd That would never have happened if Wiggins was playing in Jamess lengthy shadow. “Even though in a weird way everybody would love the opportunity to play with LeBron because youre guaranteed winning,” Self said, “for the longevity of his career, he needs to develop that mindset to be the guy, for him to be great, and I think being Minnesota will help him do that.” Wiggins, who set numerous freshman records during his lone season with the Jayhawks, also appears to be a good fit for the Timberwolves. While his defence is already NBA-caliber, Wiggins will be able to develop his offence alongside point guard Ricky Rubio in an up-tempo system. Speaking of that offence, Wiggins took part in a modified game of horse on Saturday against former Kansas stars Jeff Graves, Jeff Hawkins and several young campers. After clanking a series of 3-pointers off the iron, Wiggins was the first contestant to be eliminated. He took the ouster with a smile and a shrug, just as he has all of the trade talk. “I think hes handled everything great. Hes excited,” Self said. “I think the whole thing thats been blown out of proportion a bit is that hes been in limbo. Hes known since the summer that hed be traded. Its OK. In some ways hes looking forward to going to Minnesota.” cheap jerseys whole… jerseys ’ ’ ’

It was a classic “Dont ask how, but how many” kind of night for Toronto FC. TFC was second best for long stretches in the second leg of their Amway Canadian Championship tie against the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place. Good, however, was good enough in a 2-1-regulation loss, making the home and away tie 3-3 on aggregate. The scoreline was sufficient to send the game to extra time and, after 30 minutes solved nothing, for the first time in Toronto FCs history, a match would be decided in penalties. All five Toronto FC penalty-takers scored and goalkeeper Joe Bendik saved Kekuta Manneh, good for a 5-3 win on penalties sending TFC to the two-legged final against the Montreal Impact. It was full value for entertainment in Vancouver and a great night for Canadian soccer. It was end-to-end stuff for much of the match from two teams featuring far-from-full-strength starting XIs. The crowd of 18,470 was electric and the energy on the field matched the enthusiasm. It had a cup final feel about it despite first choice talent watching from the sidelines. Whitecaps manager Carl Robinson elected to go with a similar young team that lost 2-1 at BMO Field a week ago, making eight changes from his team that won 1-0 at Columbus on Saturday. Robinson brought on more accomplished regulars late in the match as he searched for a winner. You have to wonder if hes asking himself “What if?” Toronto FC was ripe for the picking. Perhaps a more established starting XI could have found the goals needed to advance, but his young, inexperienced side came oh-so-close, and was deserving of a better fate. They were the better team. Toronto FC manager Ryan Nelsen made five changes from his team a week ago, including three along the backline. Regulars Jermain Defoe, Steven Caldwell, Julio Cesar, Justin Morrow, Jackson and Alvaro Rey were all either unavailable and/or didnt play. Nelsen will be happy with his teams spirit and ability to remain mostly composed against a team heaping on the pressure. The same questions remain of whether or not Toronto FC can be something more than a team reliant on the counter attack. Is it the players, the tactics or unfamiliarity that are holding Toronto FC back from dictating a positive pace in a match? TFC has yet to meet expectations and will now be tasked to move closer to that bar without their best player, Michael Bradley, who leaves for World Cup duty. While it may not go down as a vintage Toronto FC performance (out-chanced and out-passed by over 100), advancing in the competition is an all-important step in making the club competitive on all fronts. As the team continues to build into a club with true ambition and the framework/ability to do-so, qualification for the CONCACAF Champions League and silverware of any kind are stepping stones. Here are five thoughts from Toronto FCs Canadian Championship second-leg in Vancouver. 1) Controversial Goal – Whitecaps supporters will claim Toronto FC should never have had the away goal that ultimately sent the tie to extra time. Doniel Henrys 4th-minute goal was highly disputed, but not truly without the assistance of video replay. Bradleys free kick sailed into the Whitecaps 18-yard box and defender Nick Hagglund beat goalkeeper Marco Carducci to the ball in the air. The referee allowed the play to continue, despite Hagglund looking to impede the goalkeeper with a forearm to the face. The ball went off the crossbar to Henry who tapped the ball home. Although it wasnt noticed at the time, Henry should also have been called offside. It looked as though Henry was fair game to make a play on the ball with a Whitecaps defender covering on the goal line. However, FIFAs offside rule, law 11, states a player is offside if hes nearer to his opponents goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent. Because Carducci had come so far out to challenge the ball and, thus, became the second last defender, it left Henry in an offside position. The linesman was in no position to make the call, playing the defender, rather than Carducci, as the ‘last man or second last defender. Confusing, but completely understandable, why offside wasnt given. It will go down as a missed call by the letter of the law. That being said, it was the missed call on the Hagglund foul where the play should have been blown dead and that was the bigger injustice for me. 2) Oh Henry, again – Sloppy challenges by Henry continue to provide ample ammunition for his detractors. The Canadian international has all the physical attributes and intangibles hinting at sky-high potential. The 21-year-olds night wont be remembered for his goal, but instead a series of questionable tackles, playing his team into trouble. Henry simply needs to learn to stay on his feet in vulnerable areas. The timing, placement and manner of his challenges were front and centre on three separate occasions. Henry was fortunate not to be called for a penalty on a tight challenge on Manneh early in the first half. Early in the second half, he was cautioned for a diving challenge from behind, dangerously close to being inside the box. Henrys third mistake came in the 85th-minute, diving in from behind once again against Erik Hurtado, making for an easy penalty decision, leading to Vancouvers 2-1 goal. There was no arguing the decision and it was the third penalty Henry has conceded on the year. Far better is required, but Nelsen will continue to live and die with his young centre-back. He has far too much promise to sit on the bench. Nelsen, a former defender himself, needs to continue to preach patience and positioning with his young player. Maturity in these kinds of decisions will become more critical as the season wears on. 3) Midfield Meltdown – If youre a regular in this space, it will come as no surprise seeing criticism on Toronto FCs ability to hold on to the ball and build sustained attacking play. Toronto FCs midfield was overrun again this match with the Whitecaps having more than 55 per cent of possession. Its troubling how cheaply TFC gives the ball away, making it difficult for the midfield four, consistently falling too deep and not in position to support the forwards. The problem was further complicated Wednesday with more natural wing-players Rey and Jackson not in the team. It must be said that the team had better stretches late in the game with Daniel Lovitz, making his TFC debut, looking comfortable on the ball. Systematically, Nelsen may need to add an attacking midfielder, resorting to a 4-5-1, to provide more support and a player to link the attack. 4) Questioning Nelsen – It is remarkable how many TFC supporters are openly questioning the manager this early in the season. For a club with a history of being a conveyor belt for managers, youd think common sense would prevail in having some patience and seeing this process out before jumping to conclusions. Some are not convinced in Nelsens tactical approach. While its true the team isnt playing the free-flowing football many desire, it must be acknowledged a team with so many new players and a squad that has dealt with a number of early season injuries will take time develop said cohesiveness. Nelsens reluctance to move away from a preferred 4-4-2 has been decried by many, but that, too, is a work in progress. This is only Nelsens second season as a manager. Last years team was too short on talent to make any reasonable conclusion of Nelsens managerial abilities. What we do know is this team will fight and play for him. Nelsen is a players manager and is well liked within and around the room. His decision-making and adjustments certainly need work. It was peculiar that Hagglund started at right back when he is a preferred centre back and Bradley Orr started at centre back when he is a preferred right back. That being said, he has pulled the right strings earlier this season, namely in Columbus and Seattle, and continues to discover what he has and doesnt have. Time is required and a better evaluation will come months from now, not in May. This is a marathon, not a sprint. 5) Not-so Average Joe – Goalkeeper Joe Bendik was not overly impressed losing his starting job to Julio Cesar this season. With Cesar set to go on his World Cup adventure, Bendik was handed another start, in back-to-back games, and he didnt disappoint. Bendik came up big as the game opened up in the second half, coming off of his line multiple times, diving at the feet of an attacker and taking away goal-scoring opportunities. He kept them in the game when needed most, not to mention his penalty save. Goalkeeping is and will continue to be a position of strength for Toronto FC. The team has confidence in Bendik and will be comfortable with their “number two” while Cesar is on international duty. Its reassuring that Bendik has taken this short term setback in stride and looks to prove himself worthy as a starting goalkeeper in Major League Soccer. On Sunday night, they were able to deal a dose of frustration to the Chicago Blackhawks. Rinne made 29 saves for his first shutout in more than a year to lead Nashville to a 2-0 win over Chicago. Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque scored for the Predators, who won their second straight and improved to 3-1 against the Blackhawks this season. “You saw tonight exactly what Pekka Rinne can do for you,” Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. When hes healthy. Rinne, a two-time Vezina Trophy finalist had surgery on his left hip in May 2013 and recovered in time to play in nine of the Predators first 10 games to start the season. But an infection in the hip required him to undergo a second surgery and he missed 51 games. Rinne was sharp in his 31st career shutout, his first since March 12, 2013, as Chicago dominated territorially in the first two periods and outshot Nashville 29-17 for the game. “It feels good after tonights win,” Rinne said. “Against a top team like that, its going to get the best out of you and we showed that as team tonight.” Rinne has started nine of 11 games since returning in a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh on March 4. But in three games before Sunday, he allowed 13 goals while taking two losses and a no-decision. “Obviously, I never thought it was going to be this kind of season,” Rinne said. “I put that behind me now and Im focusing on these last games we have left … and at the same time having a good summer and being ready to the next season.” The Predators are all but out of the playoff picture in the Western Conference. On Sunday, Nashville forced the Blackhawks to shoot from the perimeter and limited second and third chances as the game went on. “It started with us getting the shot from the outside that he can see and control,” defenceman Ryan Ellis said. “But hes one of the best in the league. He came out of the net and played (the puck) well and overall was just unreal tonight.” Chicago came out flying despite playing its second game without Patrick Kane, the teams leading scorer when he was injured against St. Louis on Wednesday. The star forward is on injured reserve with a lower-body injury and could miss the rest of the regular season. But once Nashville got a lead and as the game progressed, the Predators defence and Rinne took over. “We had a good start, had a couple great looks at the net, missed the net, missed the opportunities there.” Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said. "They scored first and it was the same, exact same as what hhappened the other day.dddddddddddd. “They get the lead, go into a checkfest, and they check well.” Chicago fell six points behind Western Conference and Central Division leader St. Louis, which defeated Pittsburgh 1-0 earlier on Sunday. The Blackhawks Corey Crawford made 15 saves. Predators defenceman Seth Jones suffered concussion-like symptoms didnt return for the second period. Hell be evaluated when the team returns to Nashville. Forward Patric Hornqvist, tied for second on the Predators with 38 points, missed the game and returned to Nashville to be with his wife following the birth of the couples first child. The Blackhawks outshot the Predators 11-6 in the first and dominated much of the period, but Nashville led 1-0 after 20 minutes. Fisher opened the scoring on a deflection with 1:22 remaining in the first when he slipped in unchecked from the left side of the net. Ellis shot through a screen from the right point, and Fisher jammed in front and tipped the puck past Crawford. The Blackhawks came out strong in the second, but Rinne stopped several close-in chances and limited rebounds to keep the Predators ahead. Bourque made it 2-0 with 2:25 left in the period on a rising shot from the left circle that sailed over Crawfords right shoulder as he dropped to the ice. In the third, Rinne came through when tested and managed the puck conservatively, often smothering it to eliminate Chicago rebounds and chances. Rinne stopped Niklas Hjalmarssons screened shot from the point in the final minute, then sprawled to stop Jonathan Toews rebound attempt from the side of the net. Notes: Trotz praised his teams defensive play, but singled out star defenceman Shea Weber who logged 34 minutes, 14 seconds. “Our defence, especially Weber, was an absolutely monster out there today,” Trotz said. "It was worth every penny watching him. Before the game, Quenneville said theres “a good chance” top prospect Teuvo Teravainen could make his NHL debut on Tuesday against Dallas. Teravainen, Chicagos first-round draft pick in 2012, joined the Blackhawks on Friday and has been skating with the team. … F Matt Carey, 22, signed by Chicago as a free agent on Thursday following one season at St. Lawrence University, also has joined the Blackhawks and could play down the stretch. … Chicago F Brandon Saad returned on Sunday after missing three games with an upper-body injury. F Bryan Bickell and D Michal Rozsival remained out. … Sitting out with injuries for Nashville were F Patrick Eaves and F Paul Gaustad. D Michael Del Zotto was a healthy scratch. CHICAGO — The Chicago Blackhawks are on top of their game and back on top of the NHL. That is almost satisfying to Chicago bench boss Joel Quenneville, who became the 10th NHL coach to earn 600 victories as the Blackhawks beat the Calgary Flames 4-2 on Sunday night for their fifth straight win. Marian Hossa had a goal and an assist, while Steve Montador, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Patrick Kane also scored for the Blackhawks, who got 22 saves from Ray Emery. Chicago vaulted past Minnesota into first place in the NHL standings with a league-leading 46 points. The Blackhawks improved to 7-0-1 in their last eight games. “We did some good things for the most part,” Quenneville said. "Our puck possession game has gotten better as weve gone along. “I dont think we should be satisfied … but weve gotten production from a lot of places.” Quenneville, who led the Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup title in 2010 — the franchises first championship since 1961 — is 162-81-32 with Chicago, the best winning percentage in team history. He took over five games into the 2008-09 season. Quenneville reached 600 wins in 1,113 games, the second fastest in league history. Scotty Bowman, a Blackhawks senior adviser, did it in 1,002 games. “Ive been fortunate in a lot of ways,” Quenneville said. “Im in a great spot here, very content, and Ive got a nice team to work with.” Quenneville received the game puck from team captain Jonathan Toews. “You dont get to that point without knowing a thing or two about hockey,” Toews said. “Hes done nothing but good things since hes come into this locker-room, for the guys in here.” The Blackhawks keep looking better. They havent lost in regulation since Nov. 29. “Were building our confidence every game,” Toews said. “The last couple of games, weve distanced ourselves a little bit.” Chicago built a 3-0 lead against the Flames and was in control throughout. Calgarys Olli Jokinen and Curtis Glencross scored power-play goals in the third period, and both had an assist. Miikka Kiprusoff made 21 saves. “I think we were just too easy on them in general,” Calgary forward Lee Stempniak said. “We needed to make them play in their end to force them out of their comfort zone, and we just didnt do it.” The Flames finished a four-game road trip at 0-2-2. The Blackhawks have won eight straight at home against Calgary, dating to a loss in March 2008. “Of the four games we had on the road, this was certainly the most disappointing effort,” Calgary coach Brent Sutter said. “You cant play that way against any team, let alone top teams, in the National Hockey League and think you have a chance to win.” Emery, who has taken over for struggling No. 1 goalie Corey Crawford, started and won for the fifth straight game. He is 9-1-2 overall, and has played in seven straight, including six starts. Crawford hasnt played since a start on Dec. 5 against Phoenix when he was pulled early in the second period after allowing three goals on 16 shots. Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook sustained an undisclosed upper body injury late in the first period and didnt return. “He seemed not bad after the game,” Quenneville said. “It was precautionary.” Montador scored at 9:23 for the only goal in the first period. After the Blackhawks had controlled the puck in the Calgary zone for a nearly a minute, Montador fired in a low shot from the top of the right circle. With 4:35 left in the first, Seabrook was slammed headfirst into the glass from behind by Flames forward Rene Bourque, who received a major penalty for boarding and was ejected. He remained on the ice face down for a minute before he was helped up and skated to the bench on his own. The Blackhawks failed to capitalize on the ensuing power play. Hjalmarsson made it 2-0 at 5:15 of the second with his first goal of the season. He took a pass at the top of the slot and fired a shot through a screen in front of Kiprusoff. The puck hit traffic and curled slowly into the net. Kanes power-play goal with 5:05 left in the second extended Chicagos lead to 3-0. Kane moved in on right wing and beat Kiprusoff with a high screened shot from the slot. Jokinen cut it to 3-1 with a power-play goal at 2:35 of the third, but Hossa restored Chicagos three-goal edge during a 5-on-3 power play midway through the period. Glencross completed the scoring with a power-play goal with 3:35 left on a rebound of his own shot. NOTES: Hossa has six goals and six assists in his last seven games. … Chicagos Patrick Sharp had an assist to run his career-high point streak to nine games. … Flames C Matt Stajan left the game late in the second period with an ankle injury and didnt return. Chicago LW Dan Carcillo sat out a second game with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Both are day-to-day. Blackhawks LW Jeremy Morin played after being recalled from Rockford of the AHL earlier Sunday. Flames captain Jarome Iginla, who has 496 NHL goals, was held to one assist. Louis Blues will try to remain undefeated against the defending Stanley Cup champions this season when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks for Wednesdays Central Division showdown at United Center.NEW ORLEANS — Tony Parker was causing the Pelicans so much trouble with his dazzling dribble drives that New Orleans best defender, agile big man Anthony Davis, stepped out to challenge the shifty San Antonio point guard on the perimeter during the critical final five minutes. With a shoulder fake to his right and a cross-over dribble to the left, Parker wrong-footed Davis and exploded down an open lane for yet another easy layup. Parker scored 21 of his 32 points in the second half and also doled out nine assists, and the Spurs overcame a 14-point deficit en route to a 102-95 victory over the Pelicans on Monday night. “Tony pretty much carved them up,” said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, referring to Parker as “a monster” down the stretch. Tim Duncan scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half, and Marco Belinelli added 13 against his former club. Davis had 17 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks, Anthony Morrow added 20 points and Eric Gordon scored 19 for the Pelicans, who appeared in line for their fifth win in six games when they led by 14 near the end of the third quarter. The Spurs had other plans, outscoring New Orleans 38-19 in the final period. “Finally, in the fourth quarter, we were more physical and played better defence,” Parker said. “And we just know how to win. … In the fourth quarter, when its tight, we know how to execute and we know what we want to do on offence.” Duncan had a difficult first half, hitting only two of his first eight shots and even missing a dunk, but looked like his usual self when it mattered. He opened the third quarter by making 5 of 7 shots. Parker added 10 points in the quarter, and his scoop shot had San Antonio as close as 65-62 with 3:13 left in the period. But New Orleans regained its rhythm once more while the Spurs briefly came unhinged. Shortly after Morrows 3 made it 70-62, Parker and Duncan were called for technical fouls on the same offensive possession. Morrow made both free throws, then got fouled and made two more free throws, and New Orleans went back up by 14 on Greg Stiemsmas tip-in. San Antonio simply wouldnt go away, suffocating New Orleans shooters and forcing four turnovers in the first six minutes of the final quarter.dddddddddddd “We had some costly turnovers,” Pelicans coach Monty Williams said. “A number of our guys, you look at our numbers, we just did not shoot the ball well across the board, in the fourth quarter for sure.” The Pelicans has 16 turnovers in all, leading to 18 San Antonio points, and New Orleans made only 8 of 21 shots (38 per cent) in the final period. That, combined with Parkers clutch play, was too much to overcome. “Tony Parker got it going and we didnt corral him enough when he got in the paint,” Morrow said. “He just made more plays down the stretch.” The Spurs, meanwhile, took over the game with a 12-0 run that began when Patty Mills hit a 19-foot jumper and followed that with a 3. Then Danny Green, back from a broken left hand to play for the first time in 10 games, made his first shot — a 3-pointer — on his seventh attempt with 7:24 to go to pull the Spurs to 82-78. Parker completed the comeback a few plays later with his driving floater that tied it at 82 with 5:48 to go. “We played badly for 24-plus minutes — made a lot of mistakes and finally put a stretch together,” Duncan said. “We finally made some shots, honestly. We made, I think, two 3s in a row during the run that were big for us. We just needed something. We needed some kind of spark, some kind of stop-and-score. … We had a crew in there that did it well.” The Pelicans shot nearly 57 per cent in the first half (21 of 37) and led for most of it. Morrow made five of his first six shots and Gordon had 12 early points, including a 3 that put the Pelicans up 54-42 at halftime. NOTES: Green finished with 7 points in 30 minutes in what was his first action since Jan. 12. … Pelicans G Tyreke Evans played only five minutes, leaving the game for good shortly after hurting his right ribs in a collision with Matt Bonner. … The halftime performer, tight-rope artist Fletcher Runyan, drew empathetic groans from the crowd when he fell and straddled the rope. After sitting on the rope with a pained expression on his face for several seconds, he gingerly got back up, landed a successful backflip, then smiled and waved as he walked off the court to applause. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Boston Red Sox have put first baseman Mike Napoli on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained finger and recalled right-hander Brandon Workman from Triple-A Pawtucket. The moves were made before Sundays game against Tampa Bay. Napoli has been playing with an injured fourth finger on his left hand, along with nagging hamstring and calf issues. He also missed games Wednesday and Thursday due to flu-like symptoms. The decision on Napoli allows Boston to keep right-hander Alex Wilson on the roster to help a taxed bullpen. The Red Sox used seven relievers in Saturdays 6-5, 15-inning loss to Tampa Bay. Napoli is hitting .260 with five homers and 22 RBIs this season. He will return to Boston for further examination. Mike Carp will fill in at first base. “The fact is we needed to keep the added bullpen arm,” Boston manager John Farrell said. “Mike is still a few days away.” Workman was called up to start Sundays game with Rays in place of left-hander Felix Doubront, who is on the disabled list with a strained left shoulder. Workman made three relief appearances earlier this year before being optioned to Pawtucket on April 8. . It all paid off Friday night, when the Toronto right-hander earned his first victory since 2008 with an effective and emotional effort at Baltimore. McGowan allowed five hits over 6 1-3 innings, and the Blue Jays used two unearned runs to beat Chris Tillman and the Orioles 2-0. LINCOLN, Neb. — New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard reported to a Lincoln jail Saturday to begin his 60-day term for a 2012 assault on a police officer. Dennard, 24, reported to the Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility Saturday morning, according to corrections officers with the Lincoln facility who spoke on condition of anonymity because of jail policy. The former Nebraska football standout will have to serve at least 35 days, after credit for good behaviour and the three days hes already spent in jail. In April, a judge sentenced Dennard to two years probation, 30 days in jail and community service for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest outside a Lincoln bar days before he was choosen in the NFL Draft.dddddddddddd Dennard had been projected to be a middle-round NFL draft pick, but the Patriots took him in the seventh round. The judge later extended his probation to three years and doubled the jail time after Dennard was again arrested in Lincoln on suspicion of drunken driving in July. That charge was later dismissed in exchange for Dennards no contest plea for refusing to submit to a chemical test. He was fined $500 and placed on probation for that offence. Dennard finished this season, his second in the NFL, with 40 tackles (34 solo, 6 assists) and one interception. The Patriots fell just short of the Super Bowl, losing to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game. Sony’s PlayStation 4 is official out in the wild, subject to troves of critics and gamers alike. Yet with any launch lineup, skepticism reigns supreme. The PS4 lineup is not perfect. You enter the exhibit in a pitch black room, with quotes about Peter Vos on one wall and at the far end, you see bright white. Turn the corner, and you’re in the next room. The exhibit is almost a maze at times.

I only had 205 minerals left with no hope of creating a new base that required 400. So I pretty much sat there doing nothing watching my friend build up his base. Eventually we lost and it was only in the second match which I remembered that team members could give minerals and vespene gas to other team mates to help out if they were in a bind.

Ok flashback to episode 4.2 "Infected" when Beth asks Michonne to hold Baby Judith for a moment. Viewers witnessed the warrior woman’s initial reluctance to hold the baby, then the momentary crack in her veneer as she melts into emotional tears and cradles Judith in her arms. Means something, right? Absolutely..

Sure everything gets old. Everything changes. Some like the changes, some don’t. "British businesses are transforming the way they work with new 4G mobile technology, cloud computing and collaboration tools. In light of these trends and with LTE Advanced at up to 300Mbps on the horizon, we forecast corporate data consumption will grow by 860 per cent over the next three years," said Max Taylor, Director of Corporate Business at EE. "Armed with more spectrum holding, and subsequently more network capacity than any other UK operator, we are introducing our Super Bundles for businesses that want to transform mobile working for their employees and need a simple, scalable solution.".

Their will be updated (and linked) eventually. Once I decided on an enough quirky backstory. Meanwhile, I keep the old ones around. Warcraft needs a break. Fast forward 20 or 30 or even more years in the fictional universe, make some real changes, get out a new strategy game, cultivate some characters of Arthas’s caliber instead of these nondescript one dimensional guys. Right now, the way they’re treating the franchise both story and gameplay wise feels like unashamed milking..

We waited until the first demolisher was dead and then sent 1 tank + 1 healer + 4 dps up the first tower. (The extra DPS is to kill the big dude quickly. Him knocking someone off is pretty much a wipe). There probably won’t be a cameo by Michael J. Fox, nor should you expect to man the DeLorean in Blizzard’s "Warlords of Draenor" expansion pack for World of Warcraft, but if you jump on board, you will experience time travel. Announced at BlizzCon 2013, the fifth expansion to Blizzard’s incredibly popular WoW game sends players to Draenor during a "pivotal moment" in the past to fight alongside or against certain legends at the height of their primal power, like Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand, and Ner’zhul."Warlords of Draenor gives players a chance to take a commanding role in one of the Warcraft series most crucial conflicts," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment.
